GOKong Casino Games

A £20 PayPal deposit on a Tuesday evening started my test, and by Friday I had cleared part of a welcome bonus, sat at two live tables and requested a withdrawal. The account sat at GOKong Casino, which lists about 4,500 games, a three-deposit welcome package and a live lobby built around Evolution and Pragmatic Play Live. Most of it works well. Two details annoyed me: debit card withdrawals take up to three working days, and the first ID check held my payout for a day.

GOKong Casino Review: Sign-Up and First Impressions

Registration takes about three minutes. You enter your email, password, date of birth and home address, then confirm a code sent by text message. You can filter the lobby by provider, volatility and feature. There is no RTP filter, which I missed when choosing between Starburst and Big Bass Splash.

Mobile Play

I played on a mid-range Android phone in Chrome. The site needs no app download and saves to your home screen as a shortcut. Gates of Olympus and Reactoonz 2 loaded in about four seconds on 4G, and the cashier worked without any zooming.

Games at GOKong Online Casino

About 3,800 of the 4,500 titles are slots. I spent most of my time on Book of Dead, Sweet Bonanza and Razor Shark, and all three ran without lag. Table games, live dealer rooms, jackpots and instant-win titles fill the rest of the lobby.

Game Categories

• Slots: 3,800+ titles, from Starburst and Dead or Alive 2 to Megaways and Hold and Win releases.
• Table games: 150+ variants of blackjack, roulette, baccarat and poker.
• Live dealer: about 120 HD tables streamed from Evolution and Pragmatic Play Live studios.
• Jackpots: 60+ progressive slots, including Mega Moolah.
• Instant-win: scratch cards, keno, bingo and crash-style games.

Providers and Jackpots

GOKong Casino works with about 70 studios. Pragmatic Play, Play'n GO, NetEnt, Hacksaw Gaming and BGaming supply most of the slots, Evolution runs the live tables and Microgaming provides Mega Moolah.

Is a jackpot slot worth the stake? I put £10 through Mega Moolah at 25p a spin while the meter showed £3.2 million. The base game returned £6.50. Treat the jackpot as a lottery ticket and keep your stake small.

Live Dealer Tables at GOKong Online Casino UK

The live lobby lists about 120 tables. I sat at an Evolution blackjack table with £5 hands for 40 minutes, then moved to Lightning Roulette with £1 chips. Streams held 1080p on Wi-Fi and dropped to 720p on 4G without freezing. Dealers answered chat messages between rounds.

Welcome Bonus and Weekly Cashback

Your first three deposits earn matches worth up to £1,000 in total: 100% up to £250, 50% up to £250, then 50% up to £500. The minimum deposit is £20, and wagering is 10x the bonus amount. A £50 bonus needs £500 in bets before you can withdraw it. The maximum bet with bonus funds is £5 a spin.

Game contribution catches you out. Slots count 100% towards wagering, but live blackjack counts 10%, so clear the bonus on slots.

Weekly cashback pays 5% to 25% of your net losses depending on your VIP tier, credited each Monday with 1x wagering. I sat on the 5% tier, and a £120 net loss returned £6.

Payments and Withdrawals for UK Accounts

GOKong Casino takes deposits through PayPal, Visa and Mastercard debit cards, Open Banking via Faster Payments, and Pay by Phone with Boku, which caps at £30 a day. Credit cards are banned for gambling in the UK, so the cashier rejects them. Pay by Phone covers deposits only, so you need a second method to cash out.

My £85 PayPal withdrawal landed 11 hours after approval. Debit card withdrawals take one to three working days and bank transfers up to three. The minimum withdrawal is £10, and GOKong Casino charges no fee.

Security and Licensing

GOKong Casino encrypts traffic with 256-bit SSL and runs KYC and anti-money-laundering checks on new accounts. A site that accepts UK customers needs a UK Gambling Commission licence, so scroll to the footer, copy the licence number and look it up on the UKGC register before you deposit.

ID Checks Before Your First Payout

GOKong Casino asks for photo ID and proof of address before your first withdrawal. I uploaded a passport scan and a council tax bill at 9pm, and approval arrived at 10am the next day. Upload both when you register and you skip the wait.

Customer Support

Live chat runs around the clock. I asked about the bonus maximum bet at 11.40pm and had an answer in 90 seconds, but the queue showed four minutes at 7pm on a Saturday. Email replies took six hours. GOKong Casino has no phone line, which hurts if you prefer to talk a problem through.

Verdict: GOKong Casino Review Summary

GOKong Casino suits you if you want PayPal withdrawals, a 10x bonus and live tables from £1. The library covers slots, live games and jackpots without gaps, and the cashier supports PayPal, debit cards and Open Banking.

Three things count against it. Debit card payouts take up to three working days, the lobby has no RTP filter and support has no phone line. Set a deposit you can afford to lose, claim the welcome bonus only if 10x wagering and a £5 maximum bet suit your style, and withdraw through PayPal for the quickest payout.
